At ThusiMed Services, we are equipped to provide non-invasive diagnostic testing to confirm or rule out conditions and diseases. Diagnostic testing also provides critical information that Dr Thusi can use to establish an effective treatment plan for your condition.
Non-invasive diagnostic testing usually involves using highly advanced medical equipment that creates images of organs, soft tissues, and bones inside the body without making an incision. A diagnosis may first be made using non-invasive diagnostic testing methods before moving on to more invasive treatments.
We provide the following medical imaging tests:
The imaging technique of diagnostic ultrasound, also known as diagnostic medical sonography, creates images of your body's internal organs and structures using sound waves.
Most people associate ultrasounds with pregnancy, but they can also be used for various other purposes, including examining internal organs. Additionally, the images can reveal necessary information for diagnosing and identifying the best treatment for various illnesses and ailments.
An X-ray is a quick, painless diagnostic test that procedures images of the structures inside your body, especially your bones and organs. If Dr Thusi suspects that you have a broken bone or even a chest obstruction, an X-ray may be the first medical imaging procedure they request. However, X-rays are considered safe for most adults, but if you are pregnant or suspect that you are maybe pregnant, it would be best to inform your doctor before proceeding. X-rays use a small amount of radiation to create images that could harm a developing fetus.
Suppose Dr Thusi confirms that you need an X-ray to help confirm your diagnosis. In that case, she will refer you to the in-house X-ray department at Matatiele Private Hospital, where their compassionate team of radiologists will assist you.
One of the easiest and quickest diagnostics to monitor and assess heart problems is an electrocardiogram (ECG). For example, it can investigate symptoms of a possible heart issue, such as chest pain, palpitations, dizziness and shortness of breath.
During the procedure, sensors known as electrodes are placed on specific body spots, such as your chest, arms and legs. These electrodes are connected to a machine with lead wires that record your heart's electrical activity. The machine will measure and interpret these signals on paper, which your doctor will print out and evaluate to formulate a diagnosis.
